One paper layer set to overlay to add texture to brush strokes and another set to multiply to bring out the texture of the paper. My old method involved a single semi-transparent layer which made all the colours look faded so I’m enjoying the freedom offered by blending modes.

Photo of my sketchbook edited on Corel graphics suite 11 and imported into autodesk sketchbook for Android. I used the paper as the top layer and set it’s transparency to +-30%. Feel free to download the ‘paper’, it should open in just about any art related app or computer program.
